"tatta"
"tatta" is a calendar that has a new mechanism—a mechanism that takes advantage of the resilience that folded paper possesses, making the calendar stand upright in the base. Hence, "tatta", meaning "It's standing on its own!", in Japanese. The base holds the calendar with the optimal degree of tightness, so that the calendar can be detached easily, or can be moved around as a unit. It can be manufactured by the conventional punching techniques, utilizing minimal amount of paper. Therefore, "tatta" represents both structural elegance and minimal design.
